BGMI and Free Fire Halloween 2026: Events, End Dates and Free Rewards

Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, and both of India’s big mobile battle royales are already dressed for it. BGMI has a vampire hunt on Erangel, a Halloween update for its Brainrot mode and a hide and scare mode in HOME. Free Fire has The Unseen, with a hidden version of the map, a haunted manor and a free horror outfit. Everything here comes from Krafton’s BGMI 4.6.0 patch notes and BGMI’s Google Play listing, and from Garena’s Thai and Vietnamese releases for The Unseen, checked on 22 Oct 2026. Garena hasn’t posted an English or India page for the event, so the English item names below come from English language coverage of Garena’s release and may read slightly differently in your game.

BGMI Midnight Hunters: how the vampire mode works

Midnight Hunters is a theme mode on Erangel from 16 September to 16 November 2026. Krafton calls it a vampire hunting mode: you hunt vampires, complete guild missions and unlock “the power of the Bloodline” (patch notes). Krafton doesn’t label the mode itself as a Halloween event, but it’s the spooky part of BGMI this season and it carries the Halloween Candy items. Here’s what changes on the map:

• Vampire towns: Rozhok, Mylta, Quarry and Gatka have been taken over by vampires, with missions built into the redesigned areas.
• Hunter Guilds: Stalber and Military Base. The Nightkeeper, the strongest hunter NPC, appears at one of them each match, and Krafton’s Play Store listing says you can challenge the Nightkeeper boss “for the best loot of the match”.
• Bell Tower: shoot the clock to stun nearby vampire monsters.
• Golden Bat statues: placed around points of interest; interact with them before or after missions for bonus rewards.
• Scream Crates: encrypted chests in vampire towns and the wild. Decrypt one for rewards; fail and you take a penalty. The crate makes a sound that gives away your position, so clear the area first.
• Hunter Shooting Range: practice your aim; better scores give better rewards.

There are six guild missions, unlocked one by one, and your team gets one of them as its special mission at the start of each match. The special mission pays more than the others. Krafton names four: Seal the Ancestor (find loosened seals in Rozhok and the mine area), Hunt the Vampire (start it at Mylta’s polluted riverside and track down a high ranking vampire), Crystal Barrier (put up barriers in building windows for cover) and Clear Area Vampires.

You’ll fight three kinds of monster. Bloodwalkers patrol set routes and attack on sight; elite ones hit harder. Nightbats fire sonic shots that slow you, and elite Nightbats fire tracking shots. A Vampire Elder buffs every vampire monster near it, so take it down first. Elite monsters also carry a Monster Shield that blocks all damage until you break it.

Bloodline Awakening: come back as a vampire

This is the twist that makes late game Midnight Hunters different. If you’re eliminated, you can join the vampire faction and hunt every hunter still alive, and up to 20 vampires can be in a match at once (Krafton). In September and early October it only ran on weekends. Since 16 October at 07:30 IST it’s on every day, until 17 November at 05:29 IST.

As a vampire you get stronger base stats and four abilities:

• Claw Strike: a three hit melee combo, your main attack.
• Absorb: drain materials on the ground to heal.
• Crimson Sense: find and mark a nearby hunter.
• Amber Form: turn into a fast amber form that can’t be damaged while it lasts. Use it to escape or to close the gap on a squad.

BGMI themed items and Halloween Candy

Midnight Hunters adds its own loot (Krafton). The candy items at the end are the Halloween part:

• Hunter Bandage: heals faster than a normal bandage.
• Silvermoon Chain: a whip for both monsters and players. The Play Store listing says you can grapple across rooftops with it and raise it as a shield.
• Twilight Bat Wings: turn into a bat to fly and dash across the map.
• Scarlet Tonic: fully restores health and energy.
• Crimson Pact: links you with up to 3 teammates for shared combat bonuses.
• Moonshadow Refactor: solve the puzzle at the moon lamp for rewards.
• Pumpkin Candy Box: gift candies to other players and get one yourself.
• Halloween Candy: use it outside matches. Krafton only says it gives “rich rewards” and doesn’t list them, so check what it gives in your inventory before you spend it.

• WOW Brainrot Halloween update: 17 new Halloween Brainrot characters, including ghosts, werewolves, the Headless Horseman and Day of the Dead designs. A Ghost Ship sails in with a limited time Halloween Shop, Ghost Cannonballs turn Brainrots into rare forms, and you can fly on the Magic Broom or use the Brainrot Wand to become a Halloween Brainrot (BGMI on Google Play). Progress runs on a new Halloween Token currency. Krafton has also brought Midnight Hunters monsters such as the Bloodwalker and Vampire Elder into WOW, and its Monster Carnival theme event features monster maps you can play for rewards. The WOW Pass season ends on 16 November; Krafton doesn’t give a separate end date for the Halloween update.
• HOME Shadow Feast (to 8 November): a hide and scare mode inside a Home. As a Seeker you catch Shadows hiding in the Home for Search Points; talk to the Butler to switch to Shadow, then hide and scare Seekers for Scare Points. Claim rewards for your points in the event center.
• Metro Royale Chapter 34 (to 16 November): the vampire theme reaches Metro. Some Arctic Base buildings become Mutant Crimson Clan strongholds guarding Scream Crates, and a Golden Bat Statue in the Glacier Forbidden Zone gives you a timed fight for a chance at high value items.

Free Fire The Unseen: Reveal Mask and the Hidden Side

Garena’s Halloween event started on 16 October and runs to 1 November, according to its Thai (Garena Thailand) and Vietnamese (Garena Vietnam) releases. Some coverage gives 31 October instead, so trust the timer on the event tab in your game. Garena hasn’t posted an India web page, but its Free Fire India YouTube channel posted a teaser for The Unseen on 9 October (Free Fire India), so it’s a Free Fire MAX event in India too.

In Battle Royale, pick up a Reveal Mask to cross into the Hidden Side, a darker version of the map where creatures move in the distance. While you’re there:

• You move faster and jump higher.
• You can use objects that don’t exist on the normal map to pick up useful gear.
• Some weapons show new mechanics.
• Attacking or taking damage throws you back to the normal map, so use it to rotate or loot, not to fight.

Garena says Reveal Masks also turn up in the 4v4 mode, Clash Squad, so you can reach the Hidden Side there too, and some weapons get new mechanics in both modes.

Dolls and the Haunted Manor

Getting eliminated doesn’t end your match in The Unseen. As long as at least one teammate is still alive, you come back as a Doll. Dolls can enter the Hidden Side, buff the teammates who are still alive and use special emotes, so stay with your squad instead of leaving.

Outside matches there’s the Haunted Manor. Daily missions give you tokens that raise its panic level and unlock new parts of the manor, and touching objects in the manor sets off horror animations. It’s tied to your event progress, so log in daily until the event ends.

Free rewards in both games and how to get them

Free Fire names its free rewards; BGMI’s notes describe reward sources but don’t name the items. Here’s what each source gives, as the publishers describe it:

Paid items: what costs money

Garena’s releases list a new collection alongside the event, and Pokde’s write up of the release calls it a paid collection (Pokde): the Hollow Man bundle (male, ragged coat, skeletal frame, a hole through the chest), Crimson Glitches (female, long black hair that distorts as she moves) and Red Slicker (male, deep red with a hood and dark tendrils). Garena’s releases also mention a twins elimination collectible and themed skydive and arrival animations. Some sites list these bundles as free, but they aren’t among the mission rewards Garena names.

On the BGMI side, the patch notes don’t list paid Halloween items. Krafton says new collaborations and seasonal cosmetics will appear in the store and spins through the season, and the Brainrot mode has a limited time Halloween Shop. Krafton doesn’t say what it sells or what currency it takes, so check in game. Krafton also notes that the new Monster Theme PVE mode in WOW has in-app purchases.

Which one to play first

1. Free Fire first. The Unseen ends around 1 November, so finish the event missions for the Cloaked Terror Bundle and both skins this week.
2. BGMI Shadow Feast next. It closes on 8 November, earlier than the rest of BGMI’s season.
3. Then Midnight Hunters. You’ve got until 16 November, and Bloodline Awakening is on every day until 17 November, so there’s time to learn the vampire side.
