Updated November 2026 with current Indian retail prices.
Best value: Lenovo LOQ (i7-13650HX), 100W stated by Lenovo, 1TB SSD. Cheapest full 115W: ASUS TUF F16. Best premium: Lenovo Legion 5, 115W in a 2.1 kg body. The catch: “RTX 5050” covers laptops from 75W to 115W, and above about ₹1.67 lakh (price checked 5 Nov) an RTX 5060 laptop is on the table. We show where each pick’s wattage comes from, or that it is unconfirmed.
Key facts
- Same GPU name, 75W to 115W. Among our seven picks the stated figure runs from 75W (Acer Nitro V 15) to 115W (ASUS TUF F16, Lenovo Legion 5). In Notebookcheck’s Time Spy Graphics list, a 100W Yoga Pro 9 and the 115W gaming laptops scored about 4 to 12% above the 75W Nitro V 15. Across every RTX 5050 laptop it lists worldwide, including a 45W MSI Cyborg whose India version’s wattage is unconfirmed, the spread is 37%.
- Most listings hide the number. Lenovo (100W LOQ, 115W Legion 5) and ASUS (115W TUF F16) put it in the listing. Acer gives 75W in its own spec sheet and Dell gives 85W in its own marketing, but neither on Amazon. The Katana’s listing does not state it and we could not confirm it with MSI, so that card says so instead of guessing.
- The RTX 5060 overlap is real. The cheapest RTX 5060 laptop we found, a Dell Alienware 15 at ₹1,67,490 (price checked 5 Nov), cost less than 20 of the 35 regular RTX 5050 listings we read. In Notebookcheck’s game averages the 5060 is about 19% faster.
- Versus older cards: the RTX 4060 laptop is about 8% faster than the 5050 in games, the RTX 4050 about 19% slower at 1080p ultra (Notebookcheck averages, our calculation). The 5050 has 8GB of GDDR7, the same amount as the 5060.
- No listing is sold by Amazon itself. Every pick comes from a marketplace seller and ships from Amazon, most from Clicktech Retail. The Lenovo LOQ i7-13700HX and MSI Katana 15 HX showed only a few left on 5 Nov.
- We did not run these laptops ourselves. Specs come from the listings and brand spec sheets, and performance from Notebookcheck’s published numbers.
Jump to your pick
The best RTX 5050 gaming laptop for most Indian buyers right now is the Lenovo LOQ with the Core i7-13650HX: ₹1,48,990 (price checked 5 Nov), a 1TB SSD, and a GPU wattage Lenovo actually puts in writing, 100W. That last part matters more than most listings let on. Every laptop below says “RTX 5050” on the box, and the chip inside can be running anywhere from 75W to 115W depending on who built the laptop. Across the 75W to 115W range of the laptops on sale here, Notebookcheck’s numbers put the gap at about 12%; across every RTX 5050 laptop it lists worldwide, down to a 45W model, it is 37%. Only 15 of the 41 RTX 5050 listings we read state a GPU wattage at all.
So we did the boring part. We read 41 RTX 5050 listings on Amazon.in on 5 Nov 2026, pulled the wattage for each pick from the brand’s own spec sheet where one exists, and said “not stated” where the maker stays quiet. We also found something most buying guides miss: in November 2026 the cheapest RTX 5060 laptop costs less than many RTX 5050 laptops. If your budget reaches the cheapest RTX 5060 at ₹1,67,490 (price checked 5 Nov), the right answer might not be on this page at all, and we will tell you when.

Which one to buy at your budget
- Lowest price, around ₹1,38,990 (price checked 5 Nov): MSI Katana 15 HX, but its wattage is unconfirmed, so check it on delivery. The Acer Nitro V 15 costs about the same and is 75W.
- Around ₹1,48,990 (price checked 5 Nov): Lenovo LOQ i7-13650HX, 100W stated, 1TB SSD. Our default pick for most people.
- Around ₹1,59,990 (price checked 5 Nov): ASUS TUF F16, the cheapest laptop with the full 115W stated, plus a 16 inch 16:10 screen. The i7-13700HX LOQ at ₹1,60,600 (price checked 5 Nov) has the most reviews.
- At ₹1,67,490 (price checked 5 Nov) or more: look at RTX 5060 laptops before any RTX 5050. The Lenovo LOQ with an RTX 5060 (i7-13700HX, 100W stated) was ₹1,69,000 (price checked 5 Nov), sold by ZENBYTE and rated 3.5 from 29; the Legion 5 is the RTX 5050 to pick here only for its lighter body and 165Hz screen.
Prices above do not include bank card offers or no cost EMI, which change daily on Amazon.in, so check the offers box on the listing on the day you order. Five of our seven picks include Office Home 2024 according to their listings; the Katana and Nitro listings mention only Windows 11 Home.
Same RTX 5050, 75W to 115W: the wattage of every pick
NVIDIA lets laptop makers run the RTX 5050 at very different power levels. Notebookcheck puts the range at 35W to 100W, plus Dynamic Boost that takes the best cooled laptops to 115W. More power means higher sustained clocks, so the same chip gets faster or slower depending on the chassis it lands in. NVIDIA’s own spec page lists the cores, clocks and memory, but not the wattage, so the only places to find it are the maker’s spec sheet, the listing, or a review.
Here is what we could source for each pick, and how confident we are. “Maker does not state it” means exactly that: we looked and found no official figure. It does not mean the laptop is slow.
| Laptop | RTX 5050 max power | Where the number comes from | How sure |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lenovo LOQ (i7-13650HX) | 100W | Lenovo PSREF, LOQ 15IRX10; Amazon listing | High |
| ASUS TUF F16 (2026, FX688JHI) | Up to 115W (100W + 15W) | Amazon listing; ASUS India gives 115W for the 2025 F16 | High |
| Lenovo Legion 5 (2025) | 115W | Lenovo PSREF, Legion 5 15IRX10; Amazon listing | High |
| Lenovo LOQ (i7-13700HX) | 100W | Lenovo PSREF, LOQ 15IRX10; Amazon listing | High |
| Dell Alienware 15 (Ryzen 7 260) | Up to 85W with Dynamic Boost | Dell, in its sponsored PC Gamer feature; PC Gamer news; not on the listing | Medium |
| MSI Katana 15 HX (B14WEK) | Not confirmed | Retailers list up to 115W; MSI does not state it on the listing, its spec page would not load | Low |
| Acer Nitro V 15 (ANV15-52) | 75W | Acer spec (MGP 75W); PC Gamer review | Medium |
Now look at what that range does. Notebookcheck’s RTX 5050 page lists the laptops it has reviewed, nearly all with a GPU power figure and a 3DMark Time Spy Graphics score. Between the 75W Acer Nitro V 15 (8,760) and the best 115W machines (up to 9,828), the gap is about 12%, and that is the range you are really choosing from on Amazon.in. The full list stretches further: an MSI Cyborg 15 review unit at 45W scored 7,166, so the top is 37% faster than the bottom, but we could not confirm that the Cyborg sold in India runs that low.

A note on the bars: the 85W bar is the ASUS TUF Gaming 16 (FX610J), not our TUF F16 pick, which ASUS lists at up to 115W. The two names look alike on Amazon.in and the laptops are different.
Two lessons from that chart. First, more watts help, but by less than the label suggests: about 4% from 75W to the 100W Yoga Pro 9 and about 12% to the best 115W machines. Noticeable in demanding games, not night and day. Second, wattage is not the whole story. The 85W ASUS TUF Gaming 16 scored below the 75W Nitro, which tells you cooling, CPU and tuning matter too. That TUF Gaming 16 is also the one on sale for ₹1,54,990 (price checked 5 Nov) with no wattage on its listing, which is why it is not our ASUS pick.
Best value RTX 5050 laptop: Lenovo LOQ (i7-13650HX, 1TB)
This is our pick for most buyers. At ₹1,48,990 (price checked 5 Nov), with 3.7 stars from 10 ratings so far, the Lenovo LOQ with the Core i7-13650HX does the one thing most rivals at this price refuse to do: it tells you the GPU wattage, in writing, twice. The Amazon listing says TGP 100W, and Lenovo’s own PSREF spec sheet for this LOQ 15IRX10 family gives the RTX 5050 a 100W peak. That is near the top of what this chip can draw, and it is the reason the LOQ sits at number one.
The rest of the spec sheet is sensible rather than flashy. The i7-13650HX has 14 cores and 20 threads, which is plenty for games and for the college assignment, Premiere timeline or Android Studio build you run in the daytime. You get a full 1TB SSD, which matters more than it sounds when one Call of Duty install can eat a big chunk of a 512GB drive. The 15.6 inch screen is FHD at 144Hz with 100% sRGB listed, the right resolution for this GPU.
The weak spots are real. The 16GB of RAM sits on a single stick, so you are running single channel until you add a second 16GB module (there are two slots, up to 32GB). At 2.4 kg it is a desk laptop that travels, not a travel laptop. Budget for a second 16GB DDR5 stick soon after you buy: single channel memory can cost frames in CPU heavy games, and there are two slots. Amazon shows 100+ bought in the past month. If you want a clean, honest 100W RTX 5050 without paying for a fancier chassis, start here.

Cheapest stated 115W: ASUS TUF F16 (2026, i5-14450HX)
If you want the RTX 5050 at its full rated power for the least money, this is the one. The ASUS TUF F16 (model FX688JHI) costs ₹1,59,990 (price checked 5 Nov) and its Amazon listing gives the GPU “up to 115W (100W+15W)”, the 100W base plus 15W of Dynamic Boost. ASUS India’s spec page for the 2025 TUF F16 lists the same 115W ceiling, so the 2025 model ran the chip at 115W too.
You also get a bigger 16 inch screen in the taller 16:10 shape (1920×1200, 144Hz, 100% sRGB listed), Wi-Fi 6E, a 1080p webcam, a 70Wh battery and two M.2 slots. Compared with the LOQ above you pay ₹11,000 more (price checked 5 Nov) for roughly 15W more GPU headroom, a better screen shape and newer wireless, and you give up half the storage, since this one ships with 512GB.
One trap to avoid. ASUS also sells a TUF Gaming 16 (model FX610JH, no F) with the same i5-14450HX for ₹1,54,990 (price checked 5 Nov). It looks like the bargain twin. It is not the same laptop: its listing states no GPU wattage, and Notebookcheck’s review unit of that FX610J series ran the RTX 5050 at 85W and scored below a 75W Acer in Time Spy. Check for the F in “F16” and the 115W line before you pay. The F16 has no Amazon ratings yet (Amazon shows 50+ bought in the past month), so weigh that too.

Best premium RTX 5050 laptop: Lenovo Legion 5 (2025)
The Legion 5 is the nicest laptop on this list, and Lenovo is again upfront about the number that matters: 115W for the RTX 5050, in the listing and on the PSREF sheet for the Legion 5 15IRX10. It is the full rated power of the chip, in a 2.1 kg body, about the lightest of our seven picks.
The screen is the other reason to pay up. It is a 15.3 inch 1920×1200 IPS panel at 165Hz with 100% sRGB and 300 nits listed, so you get the taller 16:10 shape in a smaller footprint than the TUF F16. The listing describes a vapor chamber cooler, which helps a laptop hold 115W through long sessions.
Now the honest part. At ₹1,68,990 (price checked 5 Nov) the Legion 5 costs ₹1,500 more than the cheapest RTX 5060 laptop we found, the Dell Alienware 15 at ₹1,67,490 (price checked 5 Nov). A 5060 is a faster GPU, roughly 19% faster in Notebookcheck’s game averages. So buy the Legion 5 for the chassis, the screen and the weight, not because it is the fastest thing you can get for the money. It also ships with 512GB and one stick of RAM, and it has no Amazon ratings yet.

Most reviewed: Lenovo LOQ (i7-13700HX, 1TB)
If you want a laptop other buyers have already lived with, this is it. The LOQ with the Core i7-13700HX (model 83JE00U7IN) has 4.2 stars from 42 ratings, the most ratings of any laptop on this page, and it states the same 100W RTX 5050 as our top pick, in the listing and on Lenovo’s PSREF sheet for the LOQ 15IRX10.
It costs ₹1,60,600 (price checked 5 Nov), ₹11,610 more than the i7-13650HX LOQ above (price checked 5 Nov). For that you get a step up in processor, 16 cores and 24 threads against 14 and 20, which helps in compiling, rendering and heavy multitasking but changes little in games, since the GPU and its 100W are the same. Screen, 1TB SSD, single 16GB stick and 2.4 kg weight are all shared with the cheaper LOQ.
Two cautions. It is sold by a smaller marketplace store, AI-VERSE RETAIL (shipped by Amazon), not Clicktech, and it showed only 2 left when we checked, so the listing may change hands or sell out. Buy it if the extra reviews and CPU cores are worth the gap to you; buy the i7-13650HX LOQ if they are not.

Most bought: Dell Alienware 15 (Ryzen 7 260)
The Alienware 15 is the busiest listing here: Amazon shows 200+ bought in the past month, the highest of our picks, at ₹1,55,490 (price checked 5 Nov). Its 4.8 stars come from only 10 ratings, so read that as a good early sign, not proof.
You get a 15.3 inch 1920×1200 screen at 165Hz, an 8 core Ryzen 7 260, 16GB of DDR5-5600 and a 512GB SSD in a 2.25 kg body, and the HDMI 2.1 port is wired straight to the NVIDIA GPU, which helps on a TV or external monitor. The wattage is the weak point. Neither the Amazon listing nor the Dell spec page we read (for the Intel version) states it. Dell’s own sponsored feature on PC Gamer says the RTX 5050 and 5060 versions run at “up to 85 W of Total Graphics Power in Performance Mode with Dynamic Boost”, and PC Gamer’s news report gives the same 85W. That is 15W below the LOQ and 30W below the Legion 5 and TUF F16. Dell also lists the panel at 62.5% sRGB, a narrow colour range, so expect less vivid colour than on the 100% sRGB screens of the Lenovo and ASUS picks.
Its twin is the real story. The Alienware 15 with an RTX 5060, same Ryzen 7 260, same 16GB and 512GB, same seller, costs ₹1,67,490 (price checked 5 Nov), just ₹12,000 more. That is the smallest 5050 to 5060 gap we found with the same seller on both, though that 5060 listing is rated 2.9 stars from 8 ratings, and we would read those reviews before buying it. If the Alienware is on your shortlist, read the price gap section before you choose.

Cheapest RTX 5050 laptop on Amazon.in: MSI Katana 15 HX
The MSI Katana 15 HX (B14WEK-104IN) was the cheapest RTX 5050 laptop we could buy on Amazon.in, at ₹1,38,990 (price checked 5 Nov), the same price our gaming laptop under 1 lakh guide listed on 3 Nov as an over budget option. It pairs the RTX 5050 with a 14th gen Core i5-14450HX, 16GB of DDR5, a 512GB Gen4 SSD and a 15.6 inch FHD 144Hz screen.
Here is our problem with it. The Amazon listing does not state the GPU wattage, and MSI’s own spec page blocked our reader, so we could not check it there. Retailer spec sheets for the Katana 15 HX B14WEK series list the RTX 5050 at up to 115W with Dynamic Boost, which would be excellent, but we could not confirm that for this Indian SKU. A wattage you cannot confirm before you pay is a warning sign: Lenovo and ASUS put theirs in the listing.
The listing also had just 2 ratings and only 1 unit left when we checked. If you are counting every rupee and want an HX processor, the Katana is a reasonable gamble; check the wattage yourself after delivery (see how below), and read the listing’s return and replacement terms before you order. If you want to know what you are buying, the LOQ costs a little more and states its 100W.

Cheap and 75W, think twice: Acer Nitro V 15
The Nitro V 15 is here as a price check more than a recommendation. At ₹1,40,990 (price checked 5 Nov) it is one of the cheapest RTX 5050 laptops on Amazon.in, and at 75W it has the lowest stated GPU power of our picks: Acer’s spec lists 75W maximum graphics power for this ANV15-52, and PC Gamer’s review of the same model says the same.
75W is not the disaster it sounds like. Notebookcheck’s Nitro V 15 review unit (the same ANV15-52 with this i5-13420H) scored 8,760 in Time Spy Graphics, ahead of the 85W ASUS TUF Gaming 16 (8,301). The 100W unit in that list (a Lenovo Yoga Pro 9, not a gaming laptop) and the 115W gaming laptops scored 9,122 to 9,828, so about 4 to 12% higher. The gap is real, but modest. The 165Hz screen and 2.11 kg weight are genuine pluses.
What tips it against the Nitro is everything around the GPU. For ₹8,000 more (price checked 5 Nov) the LOQ gives you a stated 100W, an HX processor instead of this H series i5, a 1TB SSD instead of 512GB, and 10 ratings instead of one. The i7 version of this Nitro (B0FK8QVFJ5) costs ₹1,48,990 (price checked 5 Nov), the same as that LOQ. Our view: skip it at today’s price, and look again only if a sale puts it well below the Katana. For a longer brand comparison, see our ASUS TUF vs Acer Nitro guide.

RTX 5050 vs RTX 5060 laptop: is the price gap worth it?
This is the question the RTX 5050 can’t escape in November 2026. On Amazon.in the cheapest RTX 5060 laptop we found was the Dell Alienware 15 at ₹1,67,490 (price checked 5 Nov). Of the 35 regular RTX 5050 listings we read (leaving out bundles, resold old listings and one with no price), 20 cost more than that. Counting every listing, it was 25 of 41. In other words, a lot of RTX 5050 laptops are priced like RTX 5060 laptops.

How much faster is the 5060? Across the eight games Notebookcheck has averages for on both GPUs (Cyberpunk 2077, GTA V, Baldur’s Gate 3, F1 24, Ghost of Tsushima, Horizon Forbidden West, Space Marine 2 and Kingdom Come Deliverance 2), the RTX 5060 laptop came out about 19% ahead at 1080p ultra and at 1080p high, by our calculation from their numbers. Notebookcheck’s own text, citing 3DMark results via Videocardz, puts the gap at 21 to 22% when both run at 115W. Both have 8GB of GDDR7 on a 128-bit bus, so the 5060 does not buy you more video memory, only more speed.
And how much more does it cost? We found three like-for-like pairs, same laptop, same CPU, RAM and SSD, read on the same morning; two also share a seller:
| Same laptop | With RTX 5050 | With RTX 5060 | Gap | Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dell Alienware 15, Ryzen 7 260, 16GB, 512GB | ₹1,55,490 checked 5 Nov | ₹1,67,490 checked 5 Nov | ₹12,000 8% more, checked 5 Nov | Same seller (Clicktech) |
| Lenovo LOQ, i7-14700HX, 16GB, 512GB | ₹1,59,990 checked 5 Nov | ₹1,85,990 checked 5 Nov | ₹26,000 16% more, checked 5 Nov | Same seller (Clicktech) |
| Lenovo LOQ, i7-13700HX, 16GB, 1TB | ₹1,60,600 checked 5 Nov | ₹1,69,000 checked 5 Nov | ₹8,400 5% more, checked 5 Nov | Different sellers (AI-VERSE RETAIL vs ZENBYTE) |
Our take. On paper the Alienware pair is the easiest step: about 8% more money. But Dell says both versions run at up to 85W, and nobody has published an 85W RTX 5060 against an 85W RTX 5050, so the roughly 19% average gap may not hold on that pair, and the 5060 listing is rated 2.9 stars from 8 ratings. The cleanest case is the i7-13700HX LOQ: Lenovo states 100W for both GPUs, and the RTX 5060 version cost just ₹8,400 more (price checked 5 Nov), about 5% for roughly 19% more GPU. If that LOQ is on your list, buy the RTX 5060 version instead, after checking its seller (ZENBYTE, rated 3.5 from 29). At the i7-14700HX LOQ’s 16% gap you pay about as much more as you gain, so you have to want the extra frames. Below ₹1,67,490 (price checked 5 Nov) we found no RTX 5060 laptop on Amazon.in at all, so there the RTX 5050 is the only RTX 50 card you can buy, and a 100W one like the LOQ is a sound choice. Our best RTX 5060 gaming laptop guide covers the next step up, with the same wattage checks.
RTX 5050 vs RTX 4060 and RTX 4050 laptop
NVIDIA pitches the RTX 5050 as a newer card, and it is, but it is not a faster one than the RTX 4060 laptop. NoobFeed ran 25 games on two laptops and found the RTX 4060 about 8% faster at both 1080p and 1440p. Our own calculation from Notebookcheck’s averages lands in the same place: 4060 about 8% ahead at 1080p ultra and about 10 to 11% at 1080p high. Notebookcheck’s text says the 5050 should be “similar to the old RTX 4060” without frame generation, and that is roughly right.
Where the 5050 wins is efficiency and features. NoobFeed measured the 4060 drawing 18 to 24% more power in six games, and found the two cards nearly level at low wattage (35 to 60W), with the 4060 pulling ahead as power rises (9% at 100W, 11% at 115W in Time Spy). The 5050 also gets DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation, which the 40 series cannot run, faster GDDR7 memory, and 440 AI TOPS against 233 for the 4060, per NVIDIA.
Against the RTX 4050 it is a clear upgrade. Both have 2,560 CUDA cores, but the 5050 has 8GB of GDDR7 on a 128-bit bus instead of 6GB of GDDR6 on 96-bit. In Notebookcheck’s averages the 5050 is about 23% faster at 1080p ultra and 13% at 1080p high. Put the other way, a 4050 is roughly 19% slower at ultra. If an RTX 4050 laptop fits your budget and a 5050 does not, our under 1 lakh and under 80,000 guides cover that end.
So which should you buy? If you find an RTX 4060 laptop at the same price as an RTX 5050 one, the 4060 is slightly faster in today’s games. If they cost the same and you care about battery, heat and frame generation, the 5050. Neither is worth a big premium over the other.
What FPS to expect from an RTX 5050 laptop
These are Notebookcheck’s average frame rates across every laptop it has reviewed with each GPU, at whatever wattage those laptops ran. They are not from one controlled test, and they are not ours, but they are the most complete public set we found, and they include the cards you are cross-shopping. A 100W to 115W laptop should land at or above the RTX 5050 average; a 75W one below it.
| Game | Setting | RTX 4050 | RTX 5050 | RTX 4060 | RTX 5060 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cyberpunk 2077 | 1080p high | 58 | 77 | 81 | 96 |
| Cyberpunk 2077 | 1080p ultra | 50 | 68 | 72 | 85 |
| Cyberpunk 2077 | 1440p | 30 | 43 | 44 | 56 |
| GTA V | 1080p ultra | 81 | 109 | 108 | 127 |
| Baldur’s Gate 3 | 1080p ultra | 63 | 77 | 85 | 103 |
| F1 24 | 1080p ultra | 43 | 50 | 57 | 69 |
| Ghost of Tsushima | 1080p ultra | 45 | 54 | 60 | 60 |
| Horizon Forbidden West | 1080p ultra | 45 | 58 | 59 | 56 |
| Space Marine 2 | 1080p ultra | 54 | 62 | 66 | 71 |
| Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 | 1080p ultra | 42 | 47 | 54 | 56 |
The pattern is clear. At 1080p, the RTX 5050 handles most big single player games at roughly 45 to 80 fps on ultra, and GTA V at over 100. It sits a few frames behind the RTX 4060 almost everywhere, and usually behind the 5060, though not in every game: Horizon Forbidden West shows the 5060 behind (56 vs 58 fps), likely because these averages mix laptops at very different wattages. At 1440p it struggles in Cyberpunk without help from DLSS, which is why every pick here has a 1080p or 1200p screen, and why we would not pay extra for a 2.5K panel on this GPU.
Newer games are tougher. Notebookcheck’s RTX 5050 page also has these 2025 and 2026 releases:
| Newer game (RTX 5050) | 1080p medium | 1080p high | 1080p ultra |
|---|---|---|---|
| Battlefield 6 | 91 | 78 | 56 |
| ARC Raiders | 84 | 73 | 50 |
| Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 | 94 | 73 | 26 |
| Doom: The Dark Ages | 53 | 48 | 47 |
| Monster Hunter Wilds | 47 | 43 | 32 |
| Assassin’s Creed Shadows | 45 | 39 | 28 |
Notice the cliff between high and ultra in Black Ops 7 (73 to 26 fps). Notebookcheck does not say why, but the fix is the same either way: on an RTX 5050, play new releases at high, not ultra, and turn on DLSS. You lose very little image quality and get a much steadier frame rate. For Valorant and Counter-Strike 2 we found no RTX 5050 laptop numbers we trust, so we will not quote any; both are far lighter than anything in these tables.
Is 8GB of VRAM enough on the RTX 5050?
For 1080p, yes, with sensible settings. The RTX 5050 laptop has 8GB of GDDR7 on a 128-bit bus with 384 GB/s of bandwidth, per NVIDIA. That is a real step up from the RTX 4050’s 6GB, and it is the same 8GB the RTX 4060 and RTX 5060 laptops have. Moving up a tier does not get you more video memory until you reach much pricier GPUs.
Where 8GB may pinch is ultra textures in the newest games. Notebookcheck’s RTX 5050 results show big drops from high to ultra in some recent titles, Indiana Jones from 54 fps at high to 23 at ultra and F1 25 from 112 to 16; Notebookcheck gives no cause, and running short of video memory is one plausible reason. When a game warns that it wants more than 8GB, believe it, set textures one notch lower, and the problem usually goes away. If you plan to play every new release at maximum settings for the next four or five years, no laptop on this page is the right one for that plan.
DLSS 4 and Multi Frame Generation, honestly
Every RTX 5050 laptop supports DLSS 4, and Lenovo’s PSREF sheets list it right next to the GPU. The headline feature is Multi Frame Generation, which NVIDIA describes as generating several extra frames for every frame the GPU actually renders. The RTX 40 series cannot do the multi frame version, so this is the clearest feature advantage the 5050 has over an RTX 4060.
Be careful with what it means. Generated frames make motion look smoother on a 144Hz or 165Hz screen, but they are not the same as rendered frames: the game still responds to your mouse and keyboard at the rendered rate. In our view, frame generation works best when the game already runs at a playable rate and you want it to look smoother. It is not a way to rescue a game that is running at 25 fps. DLSS upscaling (rendering at a lower resolution and sharpening it up) is the more useful everyday tool on a 5050, and it works in far more games.
One more honest point. NVIDIA’s marketing numbers for the 50 series usually include Multi Frame Generation. The comparisons on this page do not. When someone tells you an RTX 5050 matches a much faster card, ask whether frame generation was switched on.
How to find the real wattage of any RTX 5050 laptop
Before you buy. Look for “TGP” or “Graphic Wattage” in the listing bullets. Lenovo and ASUS often put it there, and Lenovo’s PSREF site has a spec sheet for every model family: search the model code on the box or listing (for example 83JE or 15IRX10) and look at the graphics table. ASUS’s tech spec pages give “Graphic Wattage” too. For HP, Dell, Acer and MSI, check the brand’s spec page for your exact model number, or a review from Notebookcheck, which prints the measured GPU power in its review tables.
Watch for the wrong number. Bigger figures on product images are often the combined CPU plus GPU power, not the GPU alone. ASUS’s spec for the 2025 TUF F16, for example, quotes a 150W combined maximum (35W CPU plus 115W GPU). Any “RTX 5050” figure above 115W is not the GPU’s own number. And read the wording: the ASUS TUF A16 listing on Amazon.in describes its RTX 5050 as “2142 MHz at 55W … up to 115W Dynamic Boost”, which leaves you unsure what it runs at for long sessions. When a listing confuses you, ask the seller or the brand before paying.
After you buy. Open the NVIDIA Control Panel, go to Help, then System Information, and look for the graphics power figure, or run the free GPU-Z tool. If the number is well below what you were promised, raise it with the seller straight away, and check the listing’s return or replacement terms before you buy, since a lower than claimed wattage may not count as a defect.
Cooling decides whether you keep it. A laptop rated at 115W only holds that power if it can get rid of the heat. Use the performance mode in the maker’s app when gaming, keep the vents clear of the bed or a quilt, and in a hot Indian summer a raised stand helps. Our laptop cooling pad guide covers the options.
Who actually sells these laptops on Amazon.in
None of the 41 RTX 5050 listings we read was sold by Amazon itself. Every offer came from a marketplace seller, with Amazon handling storage and delivery (“ships from Amazon”). Four of our seven picks, the i7-13650HX LOQ, TUF F16, Legion 5 and Alienware 15, are sold by Clicktech Retail Private Ltd. The other three come from smaller stores: AI-VERSE RETAIL for the i7-13700HX LOQ, DealssoftheDay for the MSI Katana and NEWDIGITALSTORE for the Acer Nitro.
That matters more for a laptop than for a mouse. Check the seller name on the listing on the day you order, because the default seller can change. Download the tax invoice from your order page and keep it, since the brand will ask for it for any warranty claim, and register the laptop on the brand’s site in the first week. If you are buying for a business, check that the invoice carries your GSTIN before the order ships. And on listings with only 1 or 2 left, the seller you see today may not be the one you get tomorrow.
Warranty in India, brand by brand
Base cover is one year for most brands here. For MSI we could not find a current India term for this model, so check it before you buy. This is what each brand’s own pages say; terms change, so confirm on the listing and the warranty card:
| Brand | Base warranty in India | Extras you can buy |
|---|---|---|
| Lenovo (LOQ, Legion) | 1 year, courier or carry in (PSREF) | Premium Care, Premium Care Plus (adds accidental damage), ADP within 90 days |
| ASUS (TUF) | 1 year standard | Extended packs up to 3 years total; accidental damage (LADP) within 180 days of invoice |
| Dell (Alienware) | Not found for the Alienware 15; check the listing and the warranty card | Premium Support plans |
| MSI (Katana) | Not confirmed for this model; check the box and listing | Ask the seller before you pay |
| Acer (Nitro) | 1 year India plus 1 year travellers warranty (Acer India store) | Extended warranty for years 2 and 3, battery excluded |
Our advice: for a laptop at this price, accidental damage cover is worth pricing out, especially for students who carry it to college every day. Buy it within the brand’s window (90 days for Lenovo ADP, 180 days for ASUS LADP).
Other RTX 5050 laptops we considered
We read 41 RTX 5050 listings. These were the closest calls, and why they did not make the list:
- ASUS TUF Gaming 16 (FX610JH, i5-14450HX), ₹1,54,990 (price checked 5 Nov). Listing states no wattage; Notebookcheck’s FX610J unit ran 85W. Buy the F16 instead.
- ASUS Gaming V16 (Core 5 210H), ₹1,39,990 (price checked 5 Nov). 2.7 stars from 3 ratings, and ASUS does not state the wattage. One rival list quotes 35W to 65W without a source.
- ASUS TUF A16 (Ryzen 7 260), ₹1,59,990 (price checked 5 Nov). Confusing “at 55W … up to 115W” wattage line; costs the same as the TUF F16.
- HP Victus 15 (Ryzen 7 260, 24GB, 1TB), ₹1,48,900 (price checked 5 Nov). 24GB and 1TB for LOQ money, but HP does not state the GPU wattage for this model (Notebookcheck’s 80W is for a different, Intel Victus), and it had 3 ratings and 2 left.
- HP OMEN 15 (Ryzen 7 260, 24GB), ₹1,69,990 (price checked 5 Nov). 2.5K 180Hz screen, but 3.2 stars from 30 ratings, no stated wattage, and RTX 5060 money.
- MSI Cyborg 15 Max (i7-13620H), ₹1,68,999 (price checked 5 Nov). No ratings and no stated wattage; Notebookcheck’s unit of a different Cyborg 15 model ran at just 45W.
- Lenovo LOQ 2026 (Ryzen 7 250, 115W), ₹2,04,990 (price checked 5 Nov). 115W stated, but costs far more than the cheapest RTX 5060.
- ASUS ROG Strix G16 (2026, i7-14650HX), ₹2,29,990 (price checked 5 Nov). 115W stated, 2.5K 300Hz 500 nit screen, superb, but RTX 5060 laptops cost much less.
We also skipped bundles (laptop plus headset or dock at a padded price), two old Alienware listings resold by small sellers with ratings that may belong to older models, and an HP Omen listing with no price.
How we chose these laptops
On 5 Nov 2026, between 15:00 and 15:07 IST, an automated headless browser read the Amazon.in product page of every RTX 5050 laptop we could find through 20 searches, 41 in all, plus the six cheapest RTX 5060 laptops, from a Mumbai (400001) address. We recorded price, stock, seller, rating and the full spec bullets. We dropped bundles, unavailable listings and listings that looked like resold old stock.
For the GPU wattage we went past the listing to the maker: Lenovo PSREF sheets for the LOQ and Legion 5, ASUS India’s spec page for the TUF F16 family, Acer’s spec and PC Gamer’s review for the Nitro V 15, and Notebookcheck’s reviews where the maker publishes nothing. Performance figures come from Notebookcheck’s RTX 4050, 5050, 4060 and 5060 laptop pages and NoobFeed’s 25 game comparison, read on 5 November 2026. Then we ranked the picks on stated wattage, CPU, RAM and storage for the money, screen, seller and ratings.
We have not run these laptops ourselves. Nothing here is a hands on review, and the byline says verified, not tested, for that reason. Prices move during the day, so the live listing is always the final word.

Frequently asked questions
Which is the best RTX 5050 laptop in India right now?
For most buyers, the Lenovo LOQ with the Core i7-13650HX: Lenovo states its RTX 5050 at 100W, it has a 1TB SSD, and it was one of the lowest priced RTX 5050 laptops on Amazon.in on 5 Nov 2026. The ASUS TUF F16 is the cheapest pick with the full 115W stated, and the Lenovo Legion 5 is the best premium pick.
Is an RTX 5050 laptop good for gaming in 2026?
Yes, for 1080p. Notebookcheck’s averages put it at roughly 45 to 80 fps in most big games at 1080p ultra, and higher at high settings. Newer releases run best at high with DLSS on. It is not a 1440p ultra card.
How many watts should an RTX 5050 laptop have?
Aim for 100W or more. The chip can run at up to 115W with Dynamic Boost, and in Notebookcheck’s list a 100W Yoga Pro 9 and the 115W gaming laptops scored about 4 to 12% above a 75W model. Lenovo and ASUS often state the figure; when a listing does not, check the maker’s spec sheet or a review.
Is the RTX 5050 better than the RTX 4060 laptop?
Not in raw speed. The RTX 4060 laptop is about 8% faster in games. The 5050 uses less power, runs DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation and has faster GDDR7 memory. At the same price, buy the 4060 for frames, the 5050 for efficiency and features.
Should I buy an RTX 5050 laptop or save for an RTX 5060?
If the gap is small, get the 5060. It is about 19% faster with the same 8GB of memory, and on 5 Nov the cheapest RTX 5060 laptop we found cost less than most RTX 5050 listings. If your budget sits below where RTX 5060 laptops start, a 100W or 115W RTX 5050 is a good buy.
Is 8GB VRAM enough for an RTX 5050 laptop?
For 1080p with sensible settings, yes. The RTX 4060 and RTX 5060 laptops have 8GB too. In the newest games, set textures to high rather than ultra if the game warns you about memory.
Can I get an RTX 5050 laptop under 1 lakh?
Not on Amazon.in on 5 Nov 2026: the cheapest RTX 5050 laptop we could order, the MSI Katana 15 HX, cost well above that budget. At that price the realistic choice is an RTX 3050 or RTX 4050 laptop, and our guide to gaming laptops at that budget covers them.
Can an RTX 5050 laptop run GTA 6?
Not at launch. GTA 6 comes out on 19 November 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only, and Rockstar has not announced a PC version, so no laptop can play it yet.
Why are RTX 5050 laptops so expensive in India right now?
One Indian outlet that tracks these laptops blames RAM and SSD price rises through 2026, and ASUS launched the 2025 TUF F16 with an RTX 5050 in India for much less in June 2025. That is also why a few RTX 5060 laptops now overlap with RTX 5050 prices, so compare both before you buy.
Have you tested these laptops?
No. We read the Amazon.in listings and brand spec sheets on 5 Nov 2026 and used Notebookcheck’s published benchmarks. We have not run these laptops ourselves, so nothing here is a hands on review.
