Updated April 2026 with current Indian retail prices.
A 512GB SSD sounds like plenty until you install Windows, a browser, Discord, and three modern games. Then you are suddenly juggling what stays and what goes. The 75GB ceiling is where things get real. Go above it and your storage becomes a revolving door of installs and uninstalls.
Here is the thing nobody tells you: the games everyone recommends for “storage-friendly” gaming are often way off on size. Red Dead Redemption 2 is 120GB. GTA V on PC is 109GB. Forza Horizon 5 is 107GB. God of War Ragnarok on PC is a jaw-dropping 175GB. These are NOT on this list.

Sizes verified from Steam, April 2026. Note on borderline games: Cyberpunk 2077 base game is ~70GB; adding Phantom Liberty DLC pushes it to ~85GB. Elden Ring base is 60GB; adding Shadow of the Erdtree DLC pushes it to ~80GB. Spider-Man Miles Morales is exactly at the ceiling at ~75GB.
25 Best PC Games Under 75GB in 2026
1. Elden Ring
Developer: FromSoftware | Release: 2022 | Size: 60GB (base game, no DLC)
System Requirements
- OS: Windows 10/11 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i5-8600K / AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- RAM: 12GB
- Storage: 60GB SSD
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB / AMD Radeon RX 5700 8GB
The base game is 60GB flat. Confirmed. The Shadow of the Erdtree DLC pushes it to about 80GB, so skip that if storage is the hard constraint. The base game alone is one of the greatest open world action RPGs ever made, with 60-plus hours of content for a focused player and well over 100 for someone who wants to see everything.
On an RTX 3060 or RX 6600, Elden Ring runs at 1080p 60fps on high settings with no issues. DLSS and FSR both supported. Steam India: Rs 3,499 full price, Rs 1,049 on sale. The ratio of game quality to gigabytes here is the best on the entire list.
2. God of War (2018)
Developer: Santa Monica Studio | Release: 2022 (PC) | Size: ~70GB
System Requirements
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit (version 1803 or newer)
- CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K / AMD Ryzen 5 2400G
- RAM: 8GB
- Storage: 70GB SSD recommended
- Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB / AMD RX 5500 XT 8GB
Read this carefully before buying: God of War Ragnarok on PC is 175GB. That is NOT this game. This is God of War 2018, the Norse mythology reboot with Kratos and Atreus. It is 70GB. Ragnarok does not fit on any 75GB list. These are two separate products on Steam, so double-check before purchasing.
The 2018 PC port is well optimised. Runs smooth at 1080p high settings on an RTX 3060 or RX 6600. DLSS and FSR supported. Twenty to twenty-five hours for the main campaign. One of the best story-driven action games you can buy on PC. Steam India: around Rs 1,499 on sale.
3. Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition
Developer: Guerrilla Games | Release: 2020 (PC) | Size: ~72GB
System Requirements
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K / AMD FX 6300
- RAM: 8GB
- Storage: 100GB free during install; actual game size ~72GB
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 / AMD Radeon R9 290
Two important things to know. First, the Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is 135GB. That is a completely separate product. Buy the original Complete Edition from 2020 to stay at ~72GB. Second, Steam asks for 100GB free during the installation process even though the final installed game is ~72GB. Make sure you have 100GB free when downloading, then it settles at 72GB once installed.
Robot dinosaurs, ancient ruins, a world that slowly reveals how it came to be. One of the best environmental storytelling games on PC. On sale in India for Rs 499 to Rs 999. The PC version runs well on most hardware from the last five years.
4. Returnal
Developer: Housemarque | Release: 2023 (PC) | Size: ~60GB
System Requirements
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i7-8700 / AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
- RAM: 16GB
- Storage: 60GB SSD
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER / AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT
Returnal is a roguelite third-person shooter, originally PS5 exclusive. You crash land on an alien planet, die, loop back to the start with different weapons and abilities each run. The game has a hypnotic quality where dying feels like progress rather than failure.
One real catch here: it needs 16GB RAM minimum. Budget builds with 8GB will struggle. On an RTX 3060 at 1080p you get smooth 60fps. The game looks stunning and takes up 60GB. Steam India: around Rs 999 to Rs 1,499 on sale. Not a casual game, it demands real attention, but rewards it generously.
5. Dying Light 2: Stay Human
Developer: Techland | Release: 2022 | Size: ~59GB
System Requirements
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i3-9100 / AMD Ryzen 3 2300X
- RAM: 8GB
- Storage: 60GB SSD
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti / AMD Radeon RX 560
Parkour through a zombie apocalypse. The traversal system in Dying Light 2 is some of the best movement mechanics in any open world game. Running across rooftops, swinging between buildings, sliding under obstacles. The night cycle is where the game gets genuinely tense since the stronger infected come out after dark.
59GB install. Runs on a GTX 1050 Ti at minimum settings, though an RX 6600 or RTX 3060 gives the high settings experience this game deserves. Ray tracing is available but kills performance even on mid-range cards. Skip it on Indian builds. Steam India: Rs 499 to Rs 999 on sale.

6. Metro Exodus (Gold Edition)
Developer: 4A Games | Release: 2019 | Size: ~65GB (Gold Edition with both DLCs)
System Requirements
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i5-4440 / AMD FX-8350
- RAM: 8GB
- Storage: 65GB SSD
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 / AMD Radeon RX 580
Metro Exodus is probably the most visually impressive game on this list relative to its file size. A train journey across post-apocalyptic Russia, swapping between stealth and open combat across wildly different biomes. Snow-covered Siberia, sandy Caspian shores, dense Taiga forests. It looks extraordinary even on medium settings.
The Gold Edition with both story DLCs, The Two Colonels and Sam’s Story, stays around 65GB. Sam’s Story in particular is excellent standalone content set in Alaska. On an RX 6600 XT or RTX 3060 at 1080p, this game looks like it should cost three times what you pay. Steam India: Rs 299 to Rs 799 on sale.
7. Monster Hunter: World + Iceborne
Developer: Capcom | Release: 2018 (World), 2019 (Iceborne) | Size: ~48GB (without the optional HR texture pack)
System Requirements
- OS: Windows 7/8/10/11 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 / AMD FX-6300
- RAM: 8GB
- Storage: 48GB SSD (do NOT install the optional high-res texture pack)
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 / AMD Radeon RX 570
Critical size warning: Capcom offers an optional high-resolution texture pack alongside Monster Hunter World that adds another 45GB on top of the base game. Do NOT install it if you are watching storage. The base game with Iceborne DLC is 48GB without the texture pack, and the game looks completely fine without it.
Monster Hunter World with Iceborne is a 200-plus hour game if you go deep. The gameplay loop of hunting monsters, crafting gear from their parts, and using that gear to hunt bigger monsters is one of gaming’s best systems. Addictive at a level that is genuinely dangerous to sleep schedules. Steam India: Rs 499 to Rs 999 for the Master Edition on sale.
8. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales
Developer: Insomniac Games / Nixxes | Release: 2022 (PC) | Size: ~75GB (borderline)
System Requirements
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit (version 1903 or newer)
- CPU: Intel Core i3-8100 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600
- RAM: 16GB
- Storage: 75GB SSD
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 / AMD Radeon RX 470
The borderline case on this list. Spider-Man Miles Morales officially requires 75GB on Steam. That is exactly at the ceiling. In practice the installed size comes in around 74-75GB depending on language packs. If 75GB is your absolute hard cap, this cuts it the closest of any game here.
The game itself justifies being included. Miles plays differently from Peter Parker. The bioelectricity powers, the Venom blast mechanics, and the invisibility make for combat that feels fresh even after finishing the game. The Nixxes PC port is excellent with DLSS 3, FSR 3, ray tracing, and ultra-wide support. Needs 16GB RAM. Steam India: Rs 999 to Rs 1,499 on sale. On an RTX 3060 at 1440p with DLSS on Quality mode, this looks extraordinary.
9. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt GOTY
Developer: CD Projekt Red | Release: 2015 (Next-Gen Update 2022) | Size: ~50GB
System Requirements
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K / AMD FX-8350
- RAM: 6GB
- Storage: 50GB SSD
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 / AMD Radeon RX 470
Both major DLC expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, are included in the GOTY edition. The entire package is around 50GB. That is extraordinary value. The 2022 next-gen update added ray tracing and improved textures without inflating the file size much.
This is still one of the best RPGs ever made. 150-plus hours of content to see everything. The storytelling, the side quests, the world design. All of it holds up completely in 2026. For an RTX 4060 build, enabling ray tracing in Witcher 3 is one of the best showcases for what the card can do.
Steam India: drops to Rs 299 on the deepest sales. Check the under-50GB games list for more in this size range. This game going for under Rs 500 is one of the best deals in PC gaming.
10. Doom Eternal
Developer: id Software | Release: 2020 | Size: ~43GB base game; ~70GB with both Ancient Gods DLCs
System Requirements
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit (1809 or higher)
- CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K / AMD Ryzen 7 1800X
- RAM: 8GB
- Storage: 50GB SSD
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 / AMD RX 5700 (recommended)
The base game is 43GB. With both Ancient Gods DLC expansions installed, it grows toward 70GB. Both versions fit under the ceiling. Doom Eternal is a masterclass in FPS design. Every encounter is a puzzle where the solution is shooting fast and moving faster. The arena combat system demands constant movement and weapon switching in a way no other FPS does.
It runs at an absurd frame rate on almost anything. A GTX 1060 can push 60fps at 1080p high settings. An RTX 3060 gets 144fps at 1080p easily. Steam India: the Deluxe Edition with both DLCs goes for Rs 599 to Rs 999 on sale. Pure adrenaline for 15-20 hours on the base game, longer with DLC.
11. Shadow of the Tomb Raider
Developer: Eidos Montreal | Release: 2018 | Size: ~40GB
System Requirements
- OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K / AMD Ryzen 5 1600
- RAM: 8GB
- Storage: 40GB SSD
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB / AMD RX 480 8GB
Final chapter of the rebooted Lara Croft trilogy. Ancient Mayan ruins in the Peruvian jungle. Stealth mechanics that actually work, underwater exploration, and some of the best-looking jungle environments in PC gaming. The Definitive Edition with all DLC stays under 50GB.
Runs on a GTX 1060 at 60fps 1080p high settings without complaint. Very stable PC port. Steam India: Rs 199 to Rs 499 on sale. One of the best pure value buys for building a library. Check our under-50GB list for more comparable picks.
12. Control: Ultimate Edition
Developer: Remedy Entertainment | Release: 2019 | Size: ~42GB
System Requirements
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i5-7600K / AMD Ryzen 5 1600X
- RAM: 8GB
- Storage: 42GB SSD
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB / AMD RX 580
Brutalist government building full of paranormal events. You are Jesse Faden, new director of a secret government agency after something went very wrong inside. The gameplay is physics-based mayhem. Yanking objects off walls and throwing them at enemies, hovering in the air and blasting with telekinesis.
42GB for a game this visually dense is impressive compression work from Remedy. The Ultimate Edition includes both DLC expansions. The Foundation DLC specifically is excellent. One of the best ray tracing showcases for an RTX 3060 if you want to show off what the card does.
Steam India: Rs 199 to Rs 399 on sale. Almost absurdly cheap for the quality. If it is under Rs 200, buy it without thinking.
13. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
Developer: Ubisoft Quebec | Release: 2018 | Size: ~46GB
System Requirements
- OS: Windows 7 SP1 / Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 / AMD FX-8350
- RAM: 8GB
- Storage: 46GB SSD/HDD
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 / AMD Radeon RX 480 (4GB)
Ancient Greece. 46GB. 80 to 100 hours of content for a thorough playthrough. Kassandra is the better protagonist choice over Alexios, but the game does not force you. The world is enormous, the RPG systems are satisfying, and the Greek setting is genuinely beautiful.
The DLC packs add a few gigabytes, but the base game content is already massive. On an RTX 3060 or RX 6600, ultra settings at 1080p is very achievable. The game is several years old now but still looks strong.
Steam India: Rs 199 to Rs 499 on sale. If you pair this with Origins (also on this list), you get two of the best open world games Ubisoft has ever made for well under Rs 1,000 total during sale season.
Building a PC to run all these? Our PC Build Under Rs 60,000 covers a full RTX 4060 setup that handles every game on this list at 1080p high settings.
14. Persona 5 Royal
Developer: Atlus | Release: 2022 (PC) | Size: ~41GB
System Requirements
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i7-4770S (4th Gen or newer)
- RAM: 8GB
- Storage: 41GB SSD
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB / AMD Radeon RX 5700 (8GB)
100-plus hours of JRPG in 41GB. The ratio here is outrageous. High school student by day, Phantom Thief by night. The social sim elements, dungeon crawling, time management, and relationship building all combine into something that becomes genuinely difficult to put down once it clicks.
The art style is stylish as anything in gaming and the music is legitimately great. Because the game is largely 2D in its core art, it runs on almost anything. A GTX 1060 handles 120fps at 1080p easily. You do not need a strong GPU here at all.
Steam India: Rs 599 to Rs 999 on sale. One of the few JRPGs that consistently wins over people who swear they do not like JRPGs.
15. Assassin’s Creed Origins
Developer: Ubisoft Montreal | Release: 2017 | Size: ~42GB
System Requirements
- OS: Windows 7 SP1 / Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i5-2400S / AMD FX-6350
- RAM: 6GB
- Storage: 42GB SSD/HDD
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 / AMD Radeon R9 280X
Ancient Egypt and the birth of the Brotherhood. Bayek is the best protagonist the Assassin’s Creed series has ever had. The world is gorgeous, the combat is satisfying, and at 42GB it is one of the better pure value propositions on this list. Runs on budget hardware without issue.
A GTX 970 or RX 580 runs it at 60fps 1080p medium settings. For a 2017 game the visuals still impress. Steam India: Rs 149 to Rs 299 on the deepest sales. Pair Origins and Odyssey together for one of the best open world RPG runs available on PC for under Rs 1,000 total during sale season.
16. The Outer Worlds
Developer: Obsidian Entertainment | Release: 2019 | Size: ~40GB
System Requirements
- OS: Windows 7 SP1 64-bit / Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i7-7500U / AMD Ryzen 5 1400
- RAM: 8GB
- Storage: 40GB SSD
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB / AMD RX 580 8GB
Obsidian’s sci-fi RPG. Corporate dystopia in space, with the choice-driven storytelling that made Fallout New Vegas so beloved. Companions react to your decisions, factions can be manipulated against each other, and the writing is sharp throughout. 25-30 hours for a focused playthrough.
Very stable on all hardware. 40GB, runs on anything made in the last six years without tuning. This is also available on Xbox Game Pass PC (Rs 489/month), so check before buying outright. Buying it on sale for Rs 299 to Rs 499 is also a good deal.
17. Resident Evil Village
Developer: Capcom | Release: 2021 | Size: ~35GB (base game, no Winters’ Expansion DLC)
System Requirements
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit (version 1903 or later)
- CPU: Intel Core i5-7600 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- RAM: 8GB
- Storage: 50GB SSD (allocate this for install; actual base game is ~35GB)
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 / AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB
The base game without the Gold Edition DLC is around 35GB. The Gold Edition including Shadows of Rose, Mercenaries Additional Orders, and all other DLC pushes the total toward 60-75GB. Buy the standard game to stay well under the ceiling.
Capcom’s RE Engine delivers incredible visual quality at unusually small file sizes. This is the defining achievement of the RE Engine approach. Runs brilliantly on mid-range hardware. RTX 3060 at 1080p ultra settings with ray tracing gets a smooth 60fps. Eight to ten hours for a playthrough. Short but memorable.
Steam India: Rs 499 to Rs 749 on sale. If you have not played it yet, the castle section alone is worth the full price.
18. Ghostwire: Tokyo
Developer: Tango Gameworks | Release: 2022 | Size: ~20GB
System Requirements
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit (version 1903)
- CPU: Intel Core i7-4770 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600
- RAM: 12GB
- Storage: 20GB SSD
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 / AMD RX 5700
20GB. That is offensively small for how this game looks. Empty Tokyo, all the people gone except for you and supernatural entities. Fighting using elemental hand gestures. The atmosphere is extraordinary, especially if Japanese culture and mythology are your thing.
Tango Gameworks compressed this aggressively and the visual quality held up. One of the best examples of what efficient game design looks like. Also available on Xbox Game Pass PC (Rs 489/month). Try it on Game Pass first before committing to a Steam purchase. If you like it, keep it via Game Pass or buy it on sale for Rs 599 to Rs 999.
19. Cyberpunk 2077 (Base Game Only)
Developer: CD Projekt Red | Release: 2020 | Size: ~70GB (WITHOUT Phantom Liberty DLC)
System Requirements
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit (version 1903 or higher)
- CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K / AMD Ryzen 5 1600
- RAM: 8GB
- Storage: 70GB SSD
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB / AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB
The critical size note: Cyberpunk 2077 WITH the Phantom Liberty DLC installed reaches around 85GB, which is over the ceiling. The base game without Phantom Liberty installs at approximately 70GB. On Steam you can choose not to install the DLC. Do this if storage is the constraint.
After patch 2.0, the base game is a excellent open world RPG. Night City is one of the most detailed cities ever built in a game. The story is compelling, V and Johnny Silverhand’s dynamic is the best narrative CDPR has written. On an RTX 4060, 1080p ultra settings runs at a smooth 60fps plus with DLSS on Quality mode. Steam India: Rs 799 to Rs 1,499 on sale.
20. Forza Horizon 4 (Standard Edition)
Developer: Playground Games | Release: 2018 | Size: ~65GB (Standard Edition, without car expansion DLC packs)
System Requirements
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit (version 1903 or later)
- CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 / AMD Ryzen 3 1200
- RAM: 8GB
- Storage: 80GB recommended; Standard Edition base ~65GB
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 / AMD Radeon RX 470
Size caveat: the Standard Edition base install is around 65GB. Adding the Fortune Island and Lego Speed Champions expansions pushes it higher. Stick to the Standard Edition without expansion DLC to stay clearly under 75GB. Do NOT confuse this with Forza Horizon 5, which is 107GB and nowhere near this list.
Britain across four seasons with a live seasonal cycle. The open world racing here is genre-defining. Summer heat shimmer, winter snow physics, autumn leaf piles on the road. Also available on Xbox Game Pass PC (Rs 489/month). Check Game Pass before buying. On an RTX 3060 build at 1440p, this is the best racing game to demonstrate what your GPU can do.
21. Dark Souls III
Developer: FromSoftware | Release: 2016 | Size: ~25GB (Fire Fades Edition with all DLC)
System Requirements
- OS: Windows 7 SP1 / Windows 8.1 / Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i3-2100 / AMD FX-6300
- RAM: 8GB
- Storage: 25GB SSD/HDD
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB / AMD Radeon HD 7950 3GB
Dark Souls 3 with both DLC expansions, Ashes of Ariandel and The Ringed City, takes up about 25GB total. That is the complete experience including some of the best boss fights FromSoftware has ever designed. Slave Knight Gael and the Nameless King in particular are fights that players remember for years.
This is the game that perfected the Souls formula before Elden Ring reinvented it with an open world. Runs on almost anything. A GTX 750 Ti at minimum settings. Steam India: Fire Fades Edition with all DLC goes for Rs 299 to Rs 499 on sale. Check our under-30GB list for more games at this file size.
22. Persona 4 Golden
Developer: Atlus | Release: 2020 (PC) | Size: ~13GB
System Requirements
- OS: Windows 7 / Windows 8.1 / Windows 10
- CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E7500
- RAM: 4GB
- Storage: 13GB SSD/HDD
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 / AMD Radeon HD 5770
13GB for a game that takes 70 to 100 hours to finish. Persona 4 Golden is the gold standard of JRPG storage efficiency on PC. Small town Japan, a murder mystery, a TV-world dungeon crawling mechanic, and some of the best written characters in JRPG history.
Many players who have finished both P4G and Persona 5 Royal say Golden has the better story and character development despite being the older, smaller game. Runs on hardware from 2010 without breaking a sweat. Steam India: Rs 199 to Rs 299 on the big seasonal sales. Also featured in our under-30GB list.
23. Biomutant
Developer: Experiment 101 | Release: 2021 | Size: ~25GB
System Requirements
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K / AMD Ryzen 5 1500X
- RAM: 8GB
- Storage: 25GB SSD/HDD
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 / AMD Radeon RX 5700
Biomutant had a rough launch and a mixed reception. Post-patch, it is a more polished game than the reviews from 2021 suggest. You play as a mutated rodent creature in an open world with heavy RPG mechanics. The character customisation, the martial arts-based combat system, and the creature designs are genuinely creative in a way most big-budget games are not.
At 25GB it is one of the smallest open world games on PC. Not the strongest game on this list overall, but at Rs 199 to Rs 299 on deep sale, the unique premise is worth experiencing. Runs smoothly on most hardware.
24. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice GOTY Edition
Developer: FromSoftware | Release: 2019 | Size: ~12GB
System Requirements
- OS: Windows 7 / Windows 8.1 / Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K / AMD FX-9350
- RAM: 8GB
- Storage: 25GB SSD/HDD (Steam allocates 25GB; actual install is ~12-14GB)
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB / AMD Radeon RX 570 4GB
12GB. A Game of the Year winner at 12GB. FromSoftware has always been exceptional at compressing their games. Sekiro is a different game from Dark Souls or Elden Ring. No RPG stat builds, no grinding your way past hard content. Pure skill-based combat with a posture system that rewards aggression over defensive play.
The GOTY Edition includes the Gauntlets of Strength and Reflections of Strength extra content. If you only have 12GB free and want a world-class game, this is it. Steam India: Rs 799 to Rs 999 on sale. Also featured prominently in our under-20GB list.

Games That Are NOT Under 75GB
A lot of articles and Reddit posts circulate outdated sizes. These games get recommended constantly as storage-friendly options. They are not. Hard facts as of April 2026:
| Game | Actual Size (PC) | Why It Fails the Test |
|---|---|---|
| Red Dead Redemption 2 | ~120GB | 60% over the ceiling. One of the largest single-player games on Steam. |
| GTA V | ~109GB | A decade of GTA Online updates has inflated it massively. Not remotely under 75GB. |
| Forza Horizon 5 | ~107GB | The newer, bigger sequel. Do not confuse with Forza Horizon 4 on this list. |
| God of War Ragnarok (PC) | ~175GB | The PC port is enormous due to uncompressed textures. More than double the 75GB ceiling. |
| Horizon Forbidden West (PC) | ~150GB | Twice the size of the original HZD on PC. Guerrilla’s sequel is massive. |
| The Last of Us Part I (PC) | ~80GB | Just over the ceiling. The troubled PC port also has an inflated install size. |
| Hitman: World of Assassination | ~80GB | All three campaigns combined push it over 80GB. Just misses the cut. |
| Cyberpunk 2077 + Phantom Liberty | ~85GB | Base game alone is ~70GB and is on this list. The DLC adds ~15GB and pushes it over. |
| Elden Ring + Shadow of the Erdtree DLC | ~80GB | Base game is 60GB and safe. Adding the DLC pushes it past the ceiling. |
| Far Cry 6 (Steam version) | ~170GB | Ubisoft’s Steam build is massive due to uncompressed assets. Avoid for storage-sensitive systems. |
Storage Planning for Indian PC Gamers
Here is how the math works for managing a library of these games based on your SSD size:
512GB SSD: After Windows, drivers, and basic software take around 80-100GB, you have roughly 400-420GB of usable game space. At an average of 45-50GB per game from this list, that is 7 to 8 games installed at once without touching the Windows partition. Always keep 15-20% of the drive free to maintain SSD performance. Swap games out as needed since Steam redownloads are reasonably fast on good connections.
1TB SSD: After Windows takes its share, you have around 850-880GB usable. That is 13 to 14 games from this list simultaneously. This is the ideal storage size for 2026 Indian gaming. A 1TB SSD in an RTX 4060 build is the sweet spot that most Indian PC gamers should aim for this year.
The GPU sweet spot in India for this list (2026): The RTX 4060 (Rs 28,000 to Rs 34,000 in India) and the RX 7600 XT (Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000) handle every single game on this list at 1080p ultra settings with 60fps plus. Both are covered in our best GPUs under Rs 30,000 guide in detail.
Steam India pricing: Steam India prices typically run 60-70% below US pricing for AAA titles. A $60 US game costs Rs 2,499 to Rs 3,499 in India, which is roughly $30. During the big Steam sales (Summer, Winter, Autumn), the same game drops to Rs 199 to Rs 999. Building this entire 25-game library during sale seasons would cost well under Rs 15,000 total.
Games on Xbox Game Pass PC (Rs 489/month): Several games from this list have appeared on Game Pass. As of April 2026, The Outer Worlds, Ghostwire Tokyo, and Forza Horizon 4 have all been on the service. Game Pass rotates frequently, so always check before buying anything outright. Rs 489/month for access to hundreds of games including heavy hitters is one of the best deals in gaming.
Downloading on Indian internet: Jio, ACT, and Airtel speeds vary significantly. On a 50Mbps connection, a 70GB game takes around 3.5-4 hours. On 20Mbps, closer to 8-9 hours. Use Steam’s scheduled download feature to queue overnight downloads. For large games like God of War (70GB) or Horizon Zero Dawn (72GB), overnight downloads are the practical approach.
